Liberalization of the system of criminal punishments
December 21, 2017 at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan a scientific and practical seminar on: «Liberalization of the system of criminal penalties» was held. The teaching staff of the chair of Criminal and penal executive law, full-time cadets, as well as members of the academic circle «Adolat» formed at the Criminal and Penal executive law department took part in the event.
During the event, reports were heard on the issues of nature, the history of the development of criminal penalties, the reforms carried out over the years of independence in the sphere of liberalization of the criminal penal system, as well as the best practices of foreign countries and a number of other topical issues in this field.
Participants of the seminar discussed the issues of relevance and pactical significance, the concept, the history of development, the current state, the reforms carried out in the years of independence of the penal system and their essence, the penal system of foreign states and their best practices, the prospects for further liberalization and improving the system of punishment in detail.
The reports and speeches delivered during the event aroused great interest of the seminar participants and turned into a lively discussion. As a result of the seminar, some proposals and recommendations were formulated to improve the system of criminal penalties and further liberalization of penal legislation related to the penal system.
